Rental Requirements

What you need before your reservation starts

What are the requirements to rent in New York City?

Before your reservation can begin, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Carry active full-coverage auto insurance that meets our coverage requirements
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Have a credit card or debit card available for payment
What insurance do you require?

We require an active full-coverage auto insurance policy with transferable comprehensive and collision coverage, plus bodily injury and property damage liability limits of $100,000 / $300,000 / $100,000.

What documents do I need?

We require a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a major credit card.

For guests visiting from outside the United States, we also require a passport and an international driver’s license.

Can I add an additional driver?

Yes. We allow a maximum of two drivers total per contract, and both drivers must be present and show valid insurance coverage.

Payments & Policies

How billing, deposits, and cancellations work

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards and debit cards. In select cases, we may also accept cash or wire transfer.

A major credit card must remain on file. Minor scuffs, scrapes, or incidental cosmetic damage may be billed to the card on file unless they are covered under your qualifying insurance policy.

What is the refund policy?

Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled booking start qualify for a full refund.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled booking start are eligible for a 50% refund. This policy is strictly enforced.

Are there any security deposits?

Yes. We require a $2,500 security deposit before, or at the time of, pickup. The deposit must be paid with a major credit card in the same name as the renter.

Do you charge for late returns?

Yes. Returning a vehicle after the agreed time results in a $250 late fee plus the prorated rental amount for the additional time.

During Your Rental

Fuel, vehicle care, substitutions, and chauffeur service

Do you charge if the vehicle is returned with less fuel than provided?

Yes. Vehicles must be returned with at least the same fuel level they were provided with at pickup.

Every vehicle in our fleet requires 93-octane or higher fuel.

Do you offer chauffeur services?

Yes. We offer chauffeur services with our luxury rentals, and our chauffeurs are fully licensed and insured. Call us to arrange availability and pricing.

What happens if the exact vehicle is unavailable?

If the exact vehicle you reserved becomes unavailable, we will place you in a similar vehicle, or a better one, at the same rate.

How should I wash the vehicle during my rental?

Every vehicle is professionally cleaned inside and out before each rental. To protect our premium finishes:

  • Do not use an automatic or machine car wash on any Exotic Drive vehicle
  • If a wash is needed during your rental, arrange a hand wash only
  • Return the vehicle in the same clean condition it was delivered in
  • Excessive dirt, staining, or damage may result in additional cleaning or restoration charges
